About Eileen
“All my life, words have been my passion. Words that HEAL, COMFORT, CELEBRATE, and HONOUR.”
Eileen remembers ‘taking a pencil for a walk’ in Junior Infants in 1964 progressing from there to her first poem on the back of a wooden ironing board, aged six. She returned to writing in the mid nineties when Journal Therapy formed part of her counselling training. Eileen has published two books since: SELF CARE FOR PARENTS in 2000 and her poetry collection I WONDER in 2019.
Eileen curates SPOKEN WORD events privately since 2002 and in recent years, for CLONMEL APPLEFEST and CLONMEL JUNCTION ARTS FESTIVAL. She loves to encourage and support emerging writers at the development stage. She is thankful to the more established writers who have shone a light on her pathway and loves to give them a platform to share their work.
“I love reading and walking in nature. Theatre, comedy, and yoga are life enhancing.
Time with my beloved family is treasured. Prosecco and delicious food shared with friends is another way to unwind. I admire people who meet life with open arms and I love to see those with folded arms release safely in their own good time”.
Eileen seeks to hear your words and will assist you to bring your story to the page
or that of someone dear to your heart.
